Oh No Not Another One!

That is what I thought this lady was thinking as she sat in her chair and was dreading another Birthday. How many times do we do that on our birthdays as we get older?Wouldn't it be nice to be like kids again and feel the excitement of having birthdays and no cares at all?.
Well I for one am having one of those days coming soon and I am going to try and have a exciting day and just be thanful for everyone and everything I have. Even the talent of creating fun cards.
This one was fun I will say. It is a stamp that a friend let me use and I just had to give it a try. It is colored with
Copics ( love my classes by the way) and has a few flowers from my box of flowers that I jsut found again.
Hope you all have a great week and I am going to see what else I can have fun with.
Thanks for looking. Not sure why the color didn't come out on the inside lighter. Oh well no time to mess with that now..

Love Those ATC'S

Just a quick share on a few ATC's I made for a swap I am in. We were to make 3 different cards . One had to be a graphic from the computer and for that I made the little gal's bottom. I just had to have that image from Karens Doodle's. I knew exactly what I wanted to try when I saw her. I made her into a little swing ATC. She moves back and forth. She is also colored with Copics and has a little stickles where it counts.

The next one had to be stamped so I used a small stamp that I received in a another swap. I added a little burlap and fancy stick pin and it's good to go.
For the last one the image had to be embossed. This one was colored with chalks after the embossing and then a few added flowers and it's done. Easy but a great look.

That is it for now. I am working on a Birthday card and that of course is going to be a very cute one as I have this really fun stamp from a friend. I just can't wait to get some coloring on that one.
See ya next time.

Easter Basket

Oh how I love the spring weather and all the spring colors. Here is a little Easter basket that I put together for a Easter swap that I am in. I have been taking some Copic classes and learning lots of fun things like the shading and blending. Getting there but a few more classes are scheduled. I will be there for sure as this is a blast. The only drawback is the cost. Who ever knew coloring could be so intense and expensive. Oh well It's a great hobby.
I colored this little gal with Copics and can't remember what ones I used. I have to learn to write them down for the next ones.See it is still a learning process.
The basket was really fun to make you can get the pattern and how to's on this site here. It is very easy to do once you get the hang of weaving.
Here is a pic of the backside of the basket after adding some pretty flowers. You can basically add anything on these baskets and they come out beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak at my basket. Have a great week and enjoy your crafting.

A New Look

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. I haven't done much crafting, nothing like I use to anyway. Just trying to keep myself motivated and keep myself busy. It's kind of hard with work, family and everyday life but crafting is my "me time" and we all can use some of that.
I am so determined to keep this blog going so here goes another post of many to come.Well you can say at least my intentions are good.
I am taking some copic classes and having a lot of fun with coloring so you will be seeing some more cards I am sure. I love to learn different things and this seems to keep my attention right now.It is very relaxing and fun to do. Never knew when I got older that coloring would be so much fun to do.
Hope you all have a great week and will come back and follow me through my adventures.

Shadow Box Card

Well I guess it is that time of year that sneaks up on all of us.I was suppose to be a little farther ahead in making cards then planned but oh well. I just took a much needed mini vacation in Southern Calif before all the rush starts at work. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of crafting time lately. I have lots to do but wanted to show you this cute shadow box card I found. You can find all the instructions here at Dawns Stamping Thoughts. She really has some great tutorials. I used a stamp called Heidi from Swiss Pixie. I love these little gals. She is colored  with Copics and a little glitter on the ornament and her wings. The edges were also cut from the wishblade for a little added touch.
This shadow box can be made in so many ways. I can't wait to try a few more with this design as it sits up all by itself.and is so cute. All in all I think it is a great  card with so many possibilities. I sure hope you will give it a try as its cute and so easy to do. Thanks for looking. Off to see what else I can get started today.

Boo!

Just popping in to say Boo with a cute little Ghosty that I made using a large styrofoam ball and lots of ribbon. To be exact it is about 2 1/2 yards of gross grain white ribbon and I cut it10 inches long. Then I layered and glued the ribbon on the top, popped some eyes on my little Miss Ghosty. Now she  is starting to come alive! Glued on a bow at the top and place a dowel stick on the bottom and there you have a fun little ghosty project even the kids can do.
Hope you like her. She is fun and one of those little projects that just make you smile.

Feels Like Fall

That is what this card screams at me. I love the cooler weather and the fall colors. We don't get to see much of the fall colors though in AZ.  I guess that why I love using it on cards. What is fun about this card is that the little Happy Birthday stick comes out of the laces. It can be used as a plant stick, or would be cute on a cupcake too. Lots of possibilities.
I colored Little Miss Swiss Pixie Brigitta with assorted Copics.Just trying to really try something new each time I color, especially with the shading.
I have also used some graphics Wimsical Seasons by Lori Garner  from PC Crafter's for the background. All in all I am spending more time in the craftroom and I am loving that. Especially when it is feeling like Fall.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card. Have a great week.
