How many times do we do that on our birthdays as we get older?Wouldn't it be nice to be like kids again and feel the excitement of having birthdays and no cares at all?.
Well I for one am having one of those days coming soon and I am going to try and have a exciting day and just be thanful for everyone and everything I have. Even the talent of creating fun cards.
This one was fun I will say. It is a stamp that a friend let me use and I just had to give it a try. It is colored with
Copics ( love my classes by the way) and has a few flowers from my box of flowers that I jsut found again.
Hope you all have a great week and I am going to see what else I can have fun with.
Thanks for looking. Not sure why the color didn't come out on the inside lighter. Oh well no time to mess with that now..
We were to make 3 different cards . One had to be a graphic from the computer and for that I made the little gal's bottom. I just had to have that image from Karens Doodle's. I knew exactly what I wanted to try when I saw her. I made her into a little swing ATC. She moves back and forth. She is also colored with Copics and has a little stickles where it counts.
The next one had to be stamped so I used a small stamp that I received in a another swap. I added a little burlap and fancy stick pin and it's good to go.
For the last one the image had to be embossed. This one was colored with chalks after the embossing and then a few added flowers and it's done. Easy but a great look.
That is it for now. I am working on a Birthday card and that of course is going to be a very cute one as I have this really fun stamp from a friend. I just can't wait to get some coloring on that one.
See ya next time.Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-16168618953994686572011-04-02T15:49:00.000-07:002011-04-02T15:49:19.434-07:00Easter Basket

Oh how I love the spring weather and all the spring colors. Here is a little Easter basket that I put together for a Easter swap that I am in. I have been taking some Copic classes and learning lots of fun things like the shading and blending. Getting there but a few more classes are scheduled. I will be there for sure as this is a blast. The only drawback is the cost. Who ever knew coloring could be so intense and expensive. Oh well It's a great hobby.
I colored this little gal with Copics and can't remember what ones I used. I have to learn to write them down for the next ones.See it is still a learning process.
The basket was really fun to make you can get the pattern and how to's on this site<b style="color: red; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> here. It is very easy to do once you get the hang of weaving.
Here is a pic of the backside of the basket after adding some pretty flowers. You can basically add anything on these baskets and they come out beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak at my basket. Have a great week and enjoy your crafting.
I haven't done much crafting, nothing like I use to anyway. Just trying to keep myself motivated and keep myself busy. It's kind of hard with work, family and everyday life but crafting is my "me time" and we all can use some of that.
I am so determined to keep this blog going so here goes another post of many to come.Well you can say at least my intentions are good.
I am taking some copic classes and having a lot of fun with coloring so you will be seeing some more cards I am sure. I love to learn different things and this seems to keep my attention right now.It is very relaxing and fun to do. Never knew when I got older that coloring would be so much fun to do.
Hope you all have a great week and will come back and follow me through my adventures.

Well I guess it is that time of year that sneaks up on all of us.I was suppose to be a little farther ahead in making cards then planned but oh well. I just took a much needed mini vacation in Southern Calif before all the rush starts at work. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of crafting time lately. I have lots to do but wanted to show you this cute shadow box card I found. You can find all the instructions here at Dawns Stamping Thoughts. She really has some great tutorials. I used a stamp called Heidi from Swiss Pixie. I love these little gals. She is colored with Copics and a little glitter on the ornament and her wings. The edges were also cut from the wishblade for a little added touch.
This shadow box can be made in so many ways. I can't wait to try a few more with this design as it sits up all by itself.and is so cute. All in all I think it is a great card with so many possibilities. I sure hope you will give it a try as its cute and so easy to do. Thanks for looking. Off to see what else I can get started today.
To be exact it is about 2 1/2 yards of gross grain white ribbon and I cut it10 inches long. Then I layered and glued the ribbon on the top, popped some eyes on my little Miss Ghosty. Now she is starting to come alive! Glued on a bow at the top and place a dowel stick on the bottom and there you have a fun little ghosty project even the kids can do.
Hope you like her. She is fun and one of those little projects that just make you smile.
I love the cooler weather and the fall colors. We don't get to see much of the fall colors though in AZ. I guess that why I love using it on cards. What is fun about this card is that the little Happy Birthday stick comes out of the laces. It can be used as a plant stick, or would be cute on a cupcake too. Lots of possibilities.
I colored Little Miss Swiss Pixie Brigitta with assorted Copics.Just trying to really try something new each time I color, especially with the shading.
I have also used some graphics Wimsical Seasons by Lori Garner from PC Crafter's for the background. All in all I am spending more time in the craftroom and I am loving that. Especially when it is feeling like Fall.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card. Have a great week.
Today's posting isn't about crafts though it is about my little friend Bear Bear.
It has been a hard few weeks for me as Bear had to be put down after 17 years. He was my little friend since he was 6 months old. That was so hard to do but had to be as he was just getting where he couldn't cope any longer. I miss him so much and still see him walking around here.Sad to say it has been so hard. You never do know how attached you become to these little critters. What is so sad is my dog went and layed down for 2 hours at the very spot the Bear Bear layed down in the afternoons. Is that weird or what? I know he is in a better place with no more pain. This is a picture taken of Bear just a few weeks ago.
Have a great week and give your fur babies a little hug from time to time.Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-2609886271159113792010-09-27T13:13:00.000-07:002010-09-27T13:27:55.118-07:00Cat's, Bat's and Candy

That is what I named this little card. The graphics are from Jamie Dawson's Pumpkin Town over at PC Crafter's. I wanted something not to scary for a little one and her graphics did just that. Fun but not scary. On the background I cut fringe on the Wishblade then fluffed it out for a different effect.

The backpack I had to try.I saw it over at Scrappygma's blog (she has such cute things) I am going to fill it with a few goodies for my granddaughter. She loves to have her name on everything lately so I thought I would make that happen with her name on the backpack. They are fun to make and you can find the instructions here at Splitcoaststampers.
That is it for the day now it's time to do something productive pertaining to laundry.
Hope you all have a great day!
I have a list a mile long of things I want to start and a few things to finish up. It is good to start a list at least it gives you a starting point. Now I know why Santa keeps one. How in the world would he get it all done without one?
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">This is a little card I started a week ago and finally got it done. A friend stamped it for me and I colored it with my copics. A little sticklers on the wings and bottom of her dress and she is ready for flight.I couldn't wait to get her done as I had the sketch in my head already. Of course today was the day to get it done. It is a beautiful day here and I am enjoying playing in my craft room once again.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Ok, let's see what else I can get done today or at least started. Thank you for looking and if would like to leave a comment please do as I enjoy hearing from you.
I spent the day yesterday just coloring and redesigning my blog a little. The ole brain doesn't remember all the little details of the blog yet but I am sure with time it will all come back.
I know I have to take a little more time and go through so many tutorials on the Copic's but I do know I am liking the fun and the calming effect it has on you just getting lost in your own little child world. I use to love to color then and find I still do.
This little lady was fun to do. She is cut out and sitting on her present.I probaby could of shaded her some but still learning that technique. Maybe the next one.
Hoping you all have a great day and thanks for any comments. Who doesn't love some chocolate chip cookies while sharing them with a good friend. I fell in love with this stamp and of course had to buy it and come home and color it with Copics. Gee the cookies are calling me now. It is such a beautiful day maybe it's time to start baking some cookies and sharing with a friend. Yummy!
Thanks for looking.
Well now is the time to get my blog back up and running too. I think I was just in a crafting slump and needed a break for awhile. I've been collecting lots of ideas and looking at different types of craft things for inspiration. Even trying a few new things such as the Copic markers. Wasn't even going to get into those little guys as they can be quite expensive but, oh well, I always say I won't but do it anyway. I even tried a Magnolia Tilda and thought I would never try her. Yup! I'm hooked now. The Copics are arriving in the mail and the stamps are following me out of the craft stores.
Here is my very first Magnolia stamp image colored and made into a card. I know they will get better as time goes on but hey its the first one.
Have a few more cards to show but it is off to work for me right now. Got to pay for all those Copics.
Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-20530250705587619452010-07-12T16:08:00.000-07:002010-07-12T16:23:22.839-07:00Water CanI can't believe it has been almost a year since my last post. I evidently have been so busy or just plain lazy. Ok it has been plain lazy. I did get a part time job so I can blame the non activity on that maybe. It has been a year that I really won't bore you with so on with the new post.
Here is a pic of a little watering can that will be holding a gift card for a friends birthday this week . Since I have not done a lot of crafting lately this was a challenge to get going but so much fun to make. I think I might of got my crafting block out of the way. Now onto the next fun things.
I hope you will stop by now and then and see the changes I really need to do on here.
Have a great week and see ya all soon.Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-7337909111015407352009-08-25T17:33:00.000-07:002009-08-27T22:16:43.212-07:00Popping Up Boo!If you are looking for a really cute project to do for just about any holiday, birthday or just about any fun time this is one of those "I have to make one of those"crafts.
Only thing is that they are addicting and you can't stop at just one. I got this idea from a blog that was posted on a craft board. It is a pop up match book box. The ghost lays flat down in the box but pops right up when opened.
It is fun and so easy to do. The box measures about 3 1/2 by 4 1/2 so it is pretty good size to hold all kinds of cute little things. I put stickers in it and sent it off for a prize on a swap board.
The little ghost pops up with a little scrap of window sheet. You know those little plastic see through flexible sheets. I cut a little piece of one and glued in onto the ghosts then to the front inside of the box. It lays down when closed and Pops right up when opened. How cute is that...

I can think of all kinds of things for pop ups..Let me know if you have any ideas or if you make some.I would love to see more ideas on these.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-76777077006068189962009-08-21T15:47:00.000-07:002009-08-21T16:19:58.904-07:00A Little Something Fun and Useful

A few weeks ago I received a newsletter from a scrapbook store and it had this idea in it. Well it has been hounding me day and night and I just had to give it a try today. It was high on the famous "TO Do List" that seems to be ever so growing steadily. I always have such good intentions of getting something on that list accomplished.
Today was the day for the candle jar lid. Yup, a candle jar lid that I usually throw right out in the trash. Not anymore. I took the round plastic thingy off the edge and then started cutting.
I started out by cutting out a free image I picked up from Dustin Pikes Blog of a really cute Santa. I then used Copic markers to color him in with. The glass makes the image look alot bigger too I might add. I cut out green card stock then applied the Santa onto it. All of it was then decoupaged to the outside of the glass lid ( the top) left it to dry really good then glued on felt.
After I knew it was all secure and good I used a little Snow Tex around the outside and placed a few red rhinestones and some ribbon.
The ideas just keep coming to me on all the possibilities you can use these for. You can put a little candy in them, hold paperclips or brads, They would be really cute for teachers too. Another Idea would be to use a photo and use for great gifts for parents and grandparents for Christmas.
Can you think of any other fun things you could use these lids for? Thanks for sharing in my fun time and I hope you will give it a try. Remember, I want to see if you do.

Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12421510062089668587noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2908952774822981961.post-45091699275215692032009-08-19T19:12:00.000-07:002009-08-19T19:25:19.338-07:00Owl Card
Looks like it has been forever since I have posted anything.
